Important travel information
To ensure a smooth arrival in Accra, all delegates are encouraged to review the following travel requirements well in advance of departure.

Visa requirements
Everyone entering Ghana should still apply through the e-visa portal . Currently its visa free for all Africans but they will still have to apply through the portal. Invitation letters& visa support documents are provided to registered participants where required
Yellow Fever certificate
A valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required to enter Ghana from most countries.
Travel with your original, as invalid certificates may cause delays or denied entry.
Passport requirements
Your passport must…
- be valid for at least six months after your departure
- have sufficient blank pages for
stamps
Ensure that you carry printed and electronic copies of key travel documents.
Visa Application
All international participants (except holders of ECOWAS or Ghanaian passports) are required to obtain a visa to enter Ghana.

- Valid passport (minimum 6 months’ validity from date of entry
- Completed visa application form
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Invitation/visa support letter
- Travel itinerary / return ticket
- Accommodation details
- Proof of sufficient funds
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate (required for some countries)

Arriving in Accra
Kotoka International Airport is approx. 8 km from the venue. Estimated travel time to the Kempinski Hotel is 10 to 15 minutes.
Currency & payments
Local currency is the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS). ATMs, forex bureaus and card facilities are widely available; Visa & Mastercard are accepted.
Participants are advised to carry some local currency for incidentals.
